Wealden District and the South Downs National Park
Wealden District has two Planning Authorities covering its geographic area: Wealden District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority. The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) and Wealden District Council have agreed to the principle of signing up to a joint protocol on neighbourhood planning. This will clarify who is the lead authority in terms of providing advice and support, and who is responsible for arranging any referenda, and the examination requirements.
If you are representing a Town or Parish Council that is considering producing a Neighbourhood Plan or Development Order within the South Downs National Park Authority, please contact Andrew Triggs at email@example.com or by calling 01730 811759.

If your area is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty then we encourage you to discuss the neighbourhood plan with High Weald AONB Neighbourhood Planning unit (external link).
