Wealden District Council area remains at step three of HM Governments Roadmap out of lockdown, details listed below.
STEP 3   Continued RESTRICTIONS
BUSINESS offering FOOD and non-alcoholic DRINK for consumption on site either indoors or outdoors. Customers may collect their food and drink from a counter but must be seated whilst eating and drinking. Indoor seating must be for groups of six or two households of any size. Outdoor seating may be for groups of up to 30 people. Outdoor shelters may be used provided the 50% rule is observed. Please see this document for further guidance. The business must take all reasonable steps to ensure the customer remains seated whilst eating and drinking. This restriction includes areas adjacent to the business, whether or not the business owns the area.
Sale of ALCOHOL/FOOD for consumption on the premises either indoors or outdoors. Orders for alcohol/food may only be accepted from customers seated on the premises and the business takes all reasonable steps to ensure the customer remains seated while consuming the alcohol and/or food. This restriction includes areas adjacent to the business, whether or not the business owns the area. Indoor seating must be for groups of six or two households of any size. Outdoor seating may be for groups of up to 30 people. Outdoor shelters may be used provided the 50% rule is observed. Please see this document for further guidance.
Indoor entertainment may be open including cinemas, theatres, concert halls, the performing arts. Social distancing must be observed, full guidance available at Gov.uk working safely during covid-19.
Indoor sports facilities including adult exercise classes and group sports may be open. Social distancing must be observed, full guidance at Gov.uk providers of grassroots sport and gym leisure facilities.
Hotel and guest accommodation, indoor and outdoor attractions, business events and consumer shows may be open. Social distancing must be observed, full guidance at Gov.uk the visitor economy.
Children’s play areas may be open. Full guidance available at Gov.uk guidance for managing playgrounds and outdoor gyms.
EVENTS Indoor and outdoor events are permitted provided that attendance at these events is 50% of capacity up to 1000 people for indoors event and 50% of capacity up to 4000 people for outdoor events.
TO REMAIN CLOSED – STEP 3 Nightclubs, dance halls and discotheques, sexual entertainment venues, hostess bars, any business which opens at night, has a dance floor or other space for dancing and provides music whether live or recorded for dancing.

ADVICE

These Regulations will be enforced by Wealden District Council Environmental Health Officers, East Sussex County Council Trading Standards Officers and Sussex Police. ENFORCEMENT

If a business is found to be trading in contravention of the regulations, they may be subject to an enforcement notice prohibiting specified activities. If this is not complied with fixed penalty notices may be issued. A prosecution may follow. View the Environmental Health Enforcement Policy
