Social Value

The ESPH is committed to providing social value within the delivery of its services and projects, where possible, for the benefit of the local communities.

Social value is defined in the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 as: u201cThe benefit to the community from a commissioning/procurement process over and above the direct purchasing of goods, services and outcomes.u201d

Examples of incorporating social value into procurement contracts could include:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Workshops
  • Planting trees
  • School Visits
