Running for over a decade in the UK, Small Business Saturday celebrates the UK’s amazing small businesses. The campaign is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign that encourages customers to shop locally and support small businesses in their communities.

It is free to take part, open to all small businesses and is a great opportunity to be in the spotlight. With small firms facing huge challenges due to the cost-of-living crisis, the campaign is more vital than ever as it moves in to its second decade in the UK.

Small Business Saturday kicks off with a nationwide roadshow throughout November, visiting and supporting small businesses in-person across the country. Alongside this, it offers a virtual roadshow of online events, including workshops, webinars, and mentoring, as well as highlighting entrepreneurial stories.

Over the time the campaign has been running in the UK, it has engaged millions of people and seen billions of pounds spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday.

Councillor Paul Coleshill, Alliance for Wealden (Liberal Democrat), and lead councillor for Climate Change and Economy, said, “Small and micro businesses account for 98.9% of businesses in Wealden, and with such a fantastic variety, I would like to encourage residents and visitors to shop local this Christmas period.”
