Sustainable industrial units completed in Crowborough

Eight state-of-the-art industrial units have officially been opened at the Wealden Business Park in Crowborough.
The new industrial units, funded by Wealden District Council and located on council owned land at the western end of Farningham Road, have been developed to support local economic growth and meet business demand.
The sustainable, modern and adaptable units provide high-quality commercial space for manufacturing, storage and distribution, and general business use. Ideally located with strong transport links to Kent and London, the development will support existing local businesses, attract new investment, and play a key role in strengthening the local economy.
Guests at the opening event were given a tour of the site before Councillor Kelvin Williams and Councillor Rachel Millward, leader of Wealden District Council, officially opened the facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Among those attending were councillors from Crowborough Town Council and Wealden District Council, members of the project design team, contractors, and the President of the Crowborough Chamber of Commerce.
Councillor Kelvin Williams, Alliance for Wealden (Liberal Democrat) and lead councillor for Public Health and Asset Management, said, “The completion of these units marks a significant step forward in supporting our local economy. This is about creating opportunities for businesses to grow, for new investment to come in, and for local people to access more jobs and services close to home and this development is a clear sign of our commitment to a thriving future.”
Jason Wellard, managing director from Now Construction, said, “We’re proud to have delivered industrial units that have sustainability at their heart. From energy-efficient features to a modern, flexible design that can adapt to changing business needs, every aspect of the development has been planned with the future in mind. We’re supporting businesses to grow while helping build a more sustainable local economy. It’s fantastic to see this project come to life.”
