Our Planning System is Changing

A New Planning Service is Coming.

Wealden District Council is introducing a new Planning system called Idox Cloud, which is planned to go live on 2 December 2026.

The new system will provide a more modern way to access planning information online and improve how planning applications and documents are managed. 

If you use our online Planning service to search for applications, view documents, submit comments or follow planning decisions, you may notice some changes to the way the service looks and works.

There is nothing you need to do at the moment. We will continue to update this page with information and guidance as we get closer to the launch date

Yes. The way you search and view planning information may look different, but planning applications will continue to be available online
Yes. Planning documents and information will continue to be available, subject to the usual rules regarding what information can be published
Yes. The Council will continue to provide a way for residents and interested parties to submit comments on planning applications
Applications already being processed by the Council will continue to be dealt with as normal. Further information will be provided about how existing applications will appear in the new system.
We do not expect the Planning service to close. If any temporary service interruptions are required, these will be communicated in advance
Some saved links to planning applications may no longer work after the new system goes live. We recommend accessing the service through the Council’s website after 2 December 2026.
