Wealden Disability Involvement Group

The Wealden Disability Involvement Group (WDIG), is a group of disabled people living in Wealden, who help and advise the Council on many Council services. This includes, the Wealden website, the way we communicate with our residents, Housing, Benefits and Waste and Recycling services.

WDIG was set up in October 2008. We worked in partnership with the East Sussex Disability Association (ESDA) to recruit disabled residents of Wealden that had taken part in the Disability Equality Scheme.

The group meets each month on a Thursday in the Hailsham Civic Community Hall. This includes representatives from a number of clubs, groups as well as individuals from the Wealden District.
