Important information: A new system will be used to host Housing Allocations from the beginning of February 2026.

As part of the council’s continuous efforts to provide excellent customer service and to streamline internal processes, Housing Allocations is changing its internal computer system and associated customer portal.
From 5pm on Tuesday 27th January 2026 the Sussex Homemove portal will no longer be accessible for customers. The system will close down and be replaced by a new portal which will go live on Monday 2nd February 2026. This means that residents will no longer be able to access their account with Sussex Homemove and applicants will have access to a new Housing Portal to apply for housing, provide any outstanding documents, to tell the council of changes and to place bids. We will contact all customers with details of how to access and create an account in this new portal via email.
If residents have a housing register application that they have started, but not completed/submitted, or are in the middle of gathering evidence it must be completed before 5pm on the 27th January 2026, otherwise they will need to create a new application in the new portal when it is live from 2nd February 2026.
