This stage of the emerging Local Plan (known as the ‘Focused’ Draft Wealden Local Plan Regulation 18 stage) set out the Council’s proposed growth strategy for the district and several policies and was an important stage in the plan-making process. It provided an early opportunity for our communities, businesses, landowners, developers, partners, and stakeholders to ‘have a say’ and comment on the draft ‘Focused’ Local Plan before it was considered further. The draft ‘Focused’ Local Plan was subject to consultation between the 6 February 2026 and the 30 March 2026.
