Please read the Call for Sites Guidance Notes below before completing the survey. You must include a map, which clearly identifies the boundary of the site. Please state the site address clearly on the map.
The submission of a site through the call for sites exercise will not provide any planning status and does not allocate sites or imply that the council will necessarily grant planning permission. Sites will only be allocated through the Local Plan process and will be subject to public consultation and Examination as part of the Local Plan process.
Should you have any queries with regards to the form or general questions regarding the assessment then please contact the Planning Policy Team on 01892 602008, or by email on shelaa@wealden.gov.uk
Please read the following guidance notes before completing this survey.
This survey captures information about new sites together with those SHELAA sites that have previously been submitted. It is not necessary to resubmit information for sites that we already have the details for, unless there are any changes to the information that we already hold. Wealden District Council will continue to consider all sites that have previously been submitted to us, unless they have been formally withdrawn, planning permission has been granted and they have been built out.
If you do have a site that you want to withdraw from the assessment, please email:
shelaa@wealden.gov.uk or telephone 01892 602008.
Please complete all sections of the survey to the best of your knowledge. You may
submit the land for assessment for one or more land uses e.g. housing, employment, retail, mixed-use development, tourism and leisure uses, community facilities and renewable energy schemes.
In line with Planning Practice Guidance (PPG), please indicate both the type and
scale of development you envisage for the site. For proposed housing developments, this would include the number of dwellings anticipated to be built on site. For employment/retail developments, this would be the amount of floorspace created for each use. Please only submit sites that could accommodate five or more dwellings (for housing proposals), or above 0.25ha or 500m2 floorspace (for economic development proposals).
