Submit a Planning Application
Wealden District Council is fully committed to delivering a faster and smarter planning application system, utilising electronic channels.
Encouraging greater online working by everyone will help to reduce costs and meet our aims of providing open, transparent and accessible planning services.
We strongly recommend that you make your planning application online via the Planning Portal (external link).
Registration is easy and you can complete your planning application form and upload supporting documents. (see the next section below for further details).

- Immediate delivery and confirmation

- Secure, online record of all your applications
Please note a planning application cannot be progressed until all the necessary supporting information and the appropriate fee is received.

Paying for a Planning Portal Application
When you make a planning application via the Planning Portal you will need to pay the application fee directly to the Portal (not the Council) otherwise the application will not be released to the Council.
Please note : There is an additional £25.00 (inclusive of VAT) transaction fee charge made by the Planning Portal for online applications and this will apply to any transaction which is £60.00 or above. All free applications and all applications where the fee is less than £60.00 will not incur this charge.
Buy Site and Block Plans
Site plans and block plans can be obtained via the Planning Portal.
