Council Tax FAQs – Moving into, within, or out of Wealden

If you are moving into or leaving a property in the Wealden area you must let us know as soon as possible. If you delay telling us you may end up paying your bill over a shorter period of time, which would mean higher instalments. Or if there is a refund due to you this might be delayed.

It is very important that you only tell us when you have a definite moving date. Council tax is calculated at a daily rate and it is important that our calculations are right not only for you, but for the person that we send a bill to after you move out.
