About the Elected Council

Wealden District is divided into 41 district wards represented by 45 District Councillors. Wealden is also covered by the following layers, each layer operates independently:

  • 35 Parish Councils, 4 Town Councils and 3 Parish Meetings.
  • 14 county divisions represented by 14 County Councillors.
  • 4 Parliamentary constituencies represented by 4 Members of Parliament.

Elections to the district council are held every four years for all seats, the next election is May 2027.
