Wealden District Council

Wealden District is divided into 41 district wards represented by 45 District Councillors (3 wards have 2 councillors).

The area covered by Wealden is also covered by the following other layers of local government, each layer operates independently and has different responsibilities:

Local: 35 Parish Councils, 4 Town Councils and 3 Parish Meetings.
County/Upper: 14 county divisions represented by 14 County Councillors.
National: 4 Parliamentary constituencies represented by 4 Members of Parliament.

Elections to the district council are held every four years for all seats, the next whole-district election is May 2027.

Members of the council usually represent a political party. The Council currently has members from the following parties:
