Hailsham Town Council is looking for a full-time Maintenance Operative, joining an established team responsible for maintaining and repairing a broad range of Council-owned property, and part of a busy team keeping all Council-owned or managed sites in good and safe working order.

 

  • Summer (April to September | 8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday / 8am-3.30pm Friday)
  • Winter (October to March | 8am-3.30pm Monday to Friday)

Allowances: Casual car user allowance

 

The Job Role

Main Purpose: To keep in good and safe order all Council-owned or managed sites in a professional manner and to a high standard as identified and directed by the Operations & Facilities Manager and the Works Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties: Maintenance and repair works to Council-owned buildings and land; communicating any non-safety issues; inspection of tools and equipment; carrying out of duties relating to the setting up of the Hailsham Street Market.
