Transfer a premises licence

This application transfers ownership of a premises licence from one person or company to another.

If another person or company is taking over your premises, the licence will need to be transferred to them. You will need to sign a consent form for them to take over the licence.

If the previous holder is deceased or uncontactable please note this on the consent form.

The person or company taking over the premises should then complete the online application and submit it together with the signed consent form and a fee of £23.

Please note that in some cases, e.g. where the holder is also the Designated Premises Supervisor, a transfer of premises may also mean a change in DPS. In these cases, once you have submitted your transfer application, please apply to vary the DPS here.

You can apply and pay online using our application form here:

If you are not applying online you must also submit your transfer application to the relevant authorities.

Individual applicants who are UK citizens must submit a scan or copy of their passport. Limited companies do not need to provide this.

If you are not a UK Resident you must either show proof of your right to work in the UK or visit the Home Office Online Right to Work Checking Service and generate a 9 digit share code which will allow us to carry out the check.
